Tortilla samosa

When craving something hot in these monsoons, samosas are the first choice for many .
So preparing the dough ,resting and rolling all these require time .
Meanwhile we don't have patience to wait for all this.
So here is a instant version if the filling is ready.

Ingredients:

        Tortillas                     : 2
        potatoes                     : 1 large
        frozen peas                : 1/2 cup
red chilli powder       : 2 tsp
       garam masala           : 1 tsp
dry mango powder    : 1 tsp
      salt to taste
      coriander leaves  for garnish
      oil for frying the samosas
     corn flour                   : 1 tbsp
      jeera                          : 1/2 tsp
     mustard seeds            : 1/2  tsp

Procedure:

Boil the potatoes and mash it and put aside.
Now take a pan,add 1 tbsp oil and let it heat.
Add jeera, mustard seeds and when they splutter add frozen peas.
Saute them and then add turmeric powder, red chili powder,
salt, garam masala, dry mango powder and salt.
Mix well and then add mashed potatoes and mix well.
Switch off and add coriander leaves and take it into a bowl.

Now in a bowl add cornflour and mix it with water like a paste
 and put aside.
Take a tortilla and cut into half.
(Used the store bought tortillas here.)

Take one half and fold  it like a cone as shown.

Place the stuffing in the cone and press it gently.

Apply the corn flour paste on the edges and close it properly.

Now heat up the oil in a fry pan and fry the samosas on both sides.
The oil should be medium hot.

Serve them with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
These can also be baked for much healthier version and the tortillas can be replaced with bread as well.
