Ragi and whole wheat crisps

 Snacks form the most essential and interesting meal of the day for kids and adults as well.

Many recipes of healthy and fried snacks go into this category.

Most of the people though prefer having light and healthy ,it is acceptable to have the fried ones now and then.

So here is the recipe of ragi and whole wheat crisps which are deep fried but the advantage is they can be baked as well.

These can also be eaten with a dip like hummus or salsa.



So here is the recipe

Ingredients:

Whole wheat flour    :  1 cup

Ragi flour                  :  1 cup

Semolina/suji             : 1 tbsp

Sesame seeds             : 1 tbsp

cumin seeds               : 1 tsp

Ajwain                      : 1 tsp

Red chili powder      : 2 tsp(adjust  accordingly)

salt to taste

oil to deep fry

Method:

In a mixing bowl add the flours and semolina ,salt ,red chili powder,sesame ,cumin and ajwain and mix together.


Adding water gradually mix the dough and should be like a chapathi dough.

let it rest for 30 min.

Now roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes like diamonds or squares.


Deep fry and store them in a airtight container.

Never store them when hot.


Let them cool down to room temperature and then store in a container.

Can also be made with whole wheat flour alone or a mix of maida and suji.
