Jowar and palak roti

Jowar is one of the most healthiest  gluten free flours used in India.
Now a days millets are much into use as they are rich in fibre,gluten free and more nutritious than wheat.
One of such a kind are jowar or sorghum and is considered a healthy alternative to those who are gluten intolerant.
Generally millets are considered not tasty  but can be made much tasty by the way we prepare them.
One such is the jowar spinach roti.



Ingredients :
 Jowar flour  : 2 cups
Green chili   : 5-6 depending on the spice
Ginger          : an inch
Onions          : 1 large
Cumin seeds  : 1tsp
spinach          : 1 bunch
Sesame seeds  : 2 tsp
water to prepare the dough
salt to taste

Procedure :
Take the flour in a big mixing bowl.
Grind the green chili and ginger to a fine paste.



chop the onions very finely and add the ginger green chili paste and onions to flour .
Add cumin and sesame seeds to it.
Now add finely chopped spinach to the bowl and mix everything well.

Add salt enough to it and mix well.
Slowly adding little water make a semi stiff dough .
Don't add water at a time as it becomes tough to roll the roti
if dough becomes more soft.



Take a plastic sheet and apply oil on it.
Take a dumpling and press it gently as thin as u need.



Carefully place it on the hot tawa and fry it both sides adding oil.



Can also add butter instead of oil.
Can also deep fry them like puri.



Goes well with curd.
